Miami’s Luxury Retail Stores Protected with Strength and Beauty
Prada’s newest store in Miami is Crawford-Tracey’s latest high-end retail project.

Miami’s Design District is home to design showrooms, art galleries, restaurants and luxury retailers. The Design District has become an international destination for luxury shopping and rivals that of Fifth Avenue in NY. As the area continues to grow and adds new stores, the current list of luxury retailers is staggering: Gucci, Burberry, Cartier, Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Giorgio Armani, Hermes, Piaget, and the list goes on.
Prada is the newest luxury store to open in the Design District. Crawford-Tracey, a glazing contractor in south Florida known for its high-performing, unitized glazing system was the product of choice for Prada. In fact, over the last couple of years, Crawford-Tracey’s Pro-Tech line of windows have been installed at Tom Ford, Givenchy, Tiffany Co., Valentino, Miu Miu and Tory Burch, all in the Design District. The combination of beauty and performance with the Pro-Tech line has positioned the product well for the retailers in South Florida who demand the best. In addition to providing hurricane protection the Pro-Tech line has a water rating of 100psf, the industry standard is 12 to 15 psf.
“Our products are typically used on large healthcare, institutional and commercial projects, however, we have found a niche in the retail market with companies who require a high-performance system without sacrificing aesthetics”, says Ray Crawford, President, Crawford-Tracey Corporation. “Our attention to details, superior quality and the fact that we install all of our own products, have served us well in the retail segment.”
Crawford-Tracey has provided its Pro-Tech, pre-glazed, curtain wall system to some of the most high-profile healthcare, institutional and commercial projects in Florida. To view Crawford-Tracey’s impressive portfolio of work click here.
